We have been having some great discussions with Chris from POSIMS www.posims.com.au to scope out an upgrade of his superbly designed POSIMS “Point of Sale Integrated Marketing” from the very old DOS based system that has been running for many years, to a new, fast easy to use windows interface based on the Ostendo software and utilising its POS and other modules.
The current POSIMS is widely used in Garden Centres and Nurseries in Australia and New Zealand, as well as Pool Shops, Liquor Stores, Jewellers and other Retailers. It has proven itself to have some extremely valuable features for retailers and is much valued by those who use it. Unfortunately this software has a limited life expectancy as computer technology races ahead.
By creating an update using the Ostendo software, we will be using a fast, reliable, well proven platform and customising it to provide all the existing features of POSIMS, plus we hope to be able to deliver lots more features that current users have been anxiously awaiting.
Over the coming months as we develop this solution we will be discussing requirements with Chris and other selected users to find out the key needs of users. We welcome any contributions to improve the features of the new POSIMS.
