Ostendo Update Notes from 26 March 2008 – What’s New
Rental Descriptors
We have added the ability to flag Descriptor Codes as Rental Codes, allowing for the selection of the actual Item Code that will actually be hired out. The concept is that a Descriptor Code is used as the charge linked to an Item for availability tracking. This new feature has only been activated in the Sale Order module, and will require that new Sales Types are defined to allow for Rentals. For more information on this feature please refer to the Help file.
Apply Payments Date – Sales Rules
We have added an additional rule in the Sales Rules screen allowing the option of either using the original Payment Date, or the Actual Applied Date as the transaction date to be used when posting financial records. The default for this new field is the Payment Date.
Job WIP Variance Posting – Job Rules
We have added an additional rule in the Job Rules screen allowing the option of posting any remaining work in progress costs at the time of Job closure to either the Cost of Goods Sold or the WIP Variance accounts. The default for this new field is the Cost of Goods Sold account.
Various Small Fixes & Improvements
Various other smaller issues and enhancements that have been reported to us have also been fixed in this update.
